Hydropower plants of LLK (Lister und Lennekraftwerke GmbH)

General

For a network of small waterworks, we developed a modern maintenance plan that can be implemented by a mobile team according to the industry 4.0 standard.

How it works: mobile maintenance for industry 4.0

Client

LLK (Lister and Lennekraftwerke GmbH)

Field

Output position

LLK operates numerous small hydropower plants. Maintenance is carried out by a team that goes around the waterworks and covers long distances between the autonomous plants. Sometimes the maintenance team spent more time on the road than in the plants themselves. The customer wanted to optimize this situation.

Our solution

In the first step, we prepared as-built documentation on site and recorded all technical data of the plant.

In the second step, we created flowcharts and plans in order to make an inventory according to the RDS-PP identification systems and the international IEC 81346 standard.

In the third step, we classified the existing documentation and defined a maintenance plan taking into account all plant components.

In the fourth step we integrated all of the data and structures collected into our software ADAM.

Advantages for the client

As a result, a mobile maintenance planning according to the industry 4.0 standard was developed, enabling the customer to save both time and money.

One example of this holistic approach: If an alarm is triggered today in a turbine of an LLK waterworks, the maintenance team can already see the error from a remote location. If it is necessary to remedy the fault on site, additional maintenance options for other system components can be added at the same time. For example, the maintenance team can take the necessary equipment with them, making the entire process more efficient.
